The Rising Tide Kerrang! review

The Rising Tide review in Kerrang!

The Rising Tide review in Kerrang!

A decent review,- and a spot of half-baked fortune telling thrown in for good measure – from everyone’s favourite weekly music / trendy fringe magazine.

“If such a thing is even possible, illuminatus just made their already shadowy, brooding sound even darker.  Their progressive socially conscious menace gets another airing on this follow-up to 2008′s impressive debut, ‘The Wrath of the Lambs’.  It may be an EP between albums -and in fact one of the tracks here is an acoustic version of an old song- but there’s still enough here to intrigue and perplex in equal measure.  All of the new tracks are ambitious in scope; heavy on guitars and full of cynical vocal gnashings and angry political polemic.  Clearly (here it is – Ed), illuminatus are always going to be a band that will never progress further into the mainstream than its fringes.  But their poetic and melancholic oddity proudly rejoices in being different.

City of Fire tour postponed

Due to reasons totally beyond our control the UK tour with City of Fire planned for January 2010 has been postponed to October 2010.  We apologise for any inconvenience caused.

We understand tickets are still valid for the rescheduled dates.

December 12th @ Scream Studios Cancelled

We’re sorry to announce that we’ve had to pull out of the bill for the show in Croydon on the 12th December. As is always the case with these situations – we had no alternative.

We hate to let our fans down and our apologies go out to any of you that were planning on attending the show. A replacement will be found for us, and you can still watch the mighty Panic Cell rocking out on the day.

Fortunately we will be back in London at the Camden Underworld on 15th January 2010 with City of Fire.  For those of you that don’t already know, City of Fire is Burton C Bell’s (Fear Factory) and Byron Stroud’s (Fear Factory & Strapping Young Lad)  new band.  You can check out City of Fire on Myspace.

The Wrath of the Lambs is Re-Released Today!

We’re really happy to announce that TODAY is the re-release date for the Wrath of the Lambs.

Following a short hiatus for the album after the credit-crunch based demise of our previous label, we’ve secured worldwide distribution of the album through Casket Music.

UK distribution will still be via all major retailers (HMV, Tesco, et al.), as well as all independent retailers with a PHD account.

World-wide physical distribution will include Australia (Modern Invasion), Benelux (Bertus), Canada (PHD Canada), Denmark (Target), France (Soundworks/Season Of Mist), Germany (New Music), Italy (Audioglobe), Greece (Soundforge), Portugal (Recital), Norway (Tuba Rcds), Spain (Goi Music) and Sweden (Sound Pollution).

You can of course still pick up copies of all our available releases and t-shirts through our online store.
