New album update

Howdy!   Thought we’d give you a quick update about our new album: we’re heading off to Hannover, Germany next weekend where we’ll be locking ourselves into the studio to record our 2nd full length LP following the release of The Wrath of the Lambs (2008) and the two EPs, The Rising Tide and Aborted Revolutions.

We tried out most of the new songs live last weekend at The Central in Nottingham, and this week we’re putting the final touches to the record.

We’ll be keeping a daily studio diary / video diary and posting the results to our YouTube channel, so make sure you subscribe for your daily update.  You can also stay up to date on our Facebook page!

Oh – we can also reveal the new record will be titled ‘Glasnost’.

The Rising Tide on LeftLion’s Podcast

Nottingham’s own favourite music, sports and arts magazine, LeftLion has featured our track The Rising Tide as the opening track on their most recent Podcast, Alt:Lion 12.

LeftLion – named after the lion sculpture used as a meeting point on the left of the council buildings in Nottingham centre – has championed the creative arts and sport within Nottinghamshire online since 2003.  Go and check out the podcasts and articles on their site, and say thanks for featuring us!

Progress / Reform! New album update

Citizens!  We’re making great progress with the songs for the new record – we’ve got around 10-12 tracks done and almost ready to record.

We’ll be heading into the studio on June 5th to record what will be our 2nd full length LP with Willi Dammeier at the Institut für Wohlklangforschung in Hannover – needless to say can’t wait to get started and to share these new tracks with you.  We’ll be keeping a regular studio blog/video diary, so make sure you join us on Facebook to keep up date with the latest news.

What does it sound like?  Well… it’s heavier, more intense and… well… more whammo than anything we’ve done to date.  You might have caught a couple of the new tracks live so far at our shows this year.

Speaking of which – we’re doing our last show before we head into the studio at The Central in Nottingham on May 29th, where we’ll be showcasing most of the songs from the new album, so make sure you get yourselves down there and get a sneak preview!
