Over the years, it helped breathe new life into Nottingham's music scene, and gave hundreds of local bands their very first chance on its small but legendary stage, which has seen the birth and progression of most of Nottingham's major bands of 21st century so far.
From time to time, it also welcomed touring bands of all shapes and sizes.
